Am I the only one who wishes that the weekend was 5 days long while the week was only 2 days?
As you all know I have been exercising everyday. I am not talking Crossfit or p90x but you 15 minutes of core workout and about 30 minutes of fast pace walking. Can I tell you how much energy have during the day? I love it! I also have been sleeping so much better at night and making sure that I eat breakfast! I have been perfecting my omelette game and that should be on the blog later in the week! Not just the usual bacon cheese and egg either! You will have to come back and see what it is all about!
This past week it has been difficult making thetime to sit down and eat with each other because we have had one thing after another. My man loves refereeing so at night he has been reffing at a local community gym all of the basketballs games from 6:30 to 8:30 various nights of the week. Between that and the church starting a fun Bethlehem Alive for the Christmas season to come! It has been a busy time and it looks like this year isn’t slowing down, but it is fun though. Oh anyways! My point was I have been trying to make these burgers for about 3 or 4 days and ever day we have been too tired to make them until one night I decided tonight is the night.
They are always a fantastic winner for dinner!
Not too spicy but it has a little bit of a kick. These burgers are such a great and easy dinner I cannot not share them! You will be quite surprised too!
Cajun Turkey Burgers
1 lb Ground Turkey (or hamburger, chicken)
1 tsp Granulated Garlic (I added a little bit more)
1 tsp Dehydrated Onion
1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
1/2 Cajun seasoning (No salt if possible
Salt and pepper to Taste
Guacamole topping:
1 avocado
1/4 of a tomato Diced
1/2 Jalapeno diced (no seeds)
1 tsp lime Juice Divided
1 tsp Granulated Garlic
1/4 tsp Dehydrated Onion
1/2 tsp Himalayan Salt
pinch of Smoked Paprika
Mix together all your spices with your ground turkey. Place about 1 Tbsp of coconut oil in the pan. Let it get hot in the pan and pat out your patties. I can easily get about 4 to 5 patties out of a pound but if you want a bigger burger add accordingly with spices too. Place the lid of the pan over top. This will cook the burgers faster.
While your burgers are cooking Clean, open and cut the avocado toss in half the lime juice and mash it in a bowl. Dice your jalapeno and tomato and add to your avocado. Add in your spices and the rest of the lime juice. Mix with spatula and set aside.
Flip your burgers when the one side has a few brown marks. Flip and let cook until that side is done too. Place on a little bed of lettuce and top with your guacamole. Serve with some sweet potato fries with sea salt on top!

This sounds so healthy! Anything topped with guac is good by me. And I love that you did turkey burgers. I usually try to go that route since it’s much better for you. Thanks for joining us at the Wednesday Showcase this week!
So these burgers called me last night and whispered sweet nothings into my ears… 😉
So I gobbled them up!
They are so yummy!!!! They are always gone way too quick!
I love turkey burgers, so I’ll definitely have to try your recipe. We usually do bean burgers with a Cajun mayo, so this recipe is right in our tastes!
We love balck bean burgers too. Although my man is a meat head and needs meat in just about every dish!
Mmmm! These burgers looks amazing! I love turkey burgers and guac, but have never paired cajun seasoning with it. Thanks for the recipe!
It is not too spicy I promise! It is a great combination!
That sounds great! So proud of you for exercising. I need to get back into it in a bad way. That sounds really tasty!
I have been slacking a little bit! I need to get back on the grind!
We love turkey burgers and these look great. Pinning and making.
Thanks for sharing at Turn It Up Tuesday,
Bev
No wonder you were craving these! They sound incredible! I may sandwich these into a quesadilla, make it a sandwich since I can’t have bread! LOVE IT!
We actually ended up having pita pocket sandwiches with these! They were so good!
