Chocolate Banana Smoothie
Let’s face it, we all love to eat. In fact, we all love good food to munch on healthy or not! So when did smoothies start filling up us? Seriously, liquid eating? How did that come about? Either way I am so glad that smoothies came into my life! Especially this chocolate banana smoothie.
In the mornings, I am all about smoothies! Especially if there are chunks that I can chew on (just a little bit!). I enjoy putting oats into my smoothies to give it a little added bulk in my morning, but this however, was blessed with oats. Why? Because PALEO that’s why! Yes, a paleo smoothie to add to your routine of smoothies! It is a great way to mix things up in the morning!
This chocolate banana smoothie is a light breakfast yet it is full of nutrients for your body to keep you full until lunch time with maybe a snack to help you get through. For that snack time you could try these Almond Peanut Butter Granola Bars (JUST SAYING!).
When I am low on time but need something to kick it up a notch to get me through the morning smoothies are always a great thing! Even if you are not a morning person and you don’t eat breakfast you probably should! Why? Well, because it can help jump start your metabolism and keep you from binge eating during lunch and dinner. SO, why not talk yourself (I do it all the time!) and go for a smoothie in the smoothie in the morning, especially the chocolate banana smoothie! It is quite the favorite!
Chocolate Banana Smoothie Recipe:
1 cup Almond Milk
1 frozen Banana
2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
2 Tbsp Coconut Palm Sugar
2 Tbsp Ground Flax seed
Throw all of your ingredients into that blender of yours and mix real good for about 1 minute. Wham! Done! Pour into a to go cup (or mason jar) and out the door you go!
Why frozen fruit? The frozen fruit will act almost like ice in your smoothie! It is give you the impression of almost like a milkshake without the ice! Giving you more nutrition without the added water! I As the ice melts it takes away from the taste. The fruit will never melt and your drink will not get watered down! A win win in my books!
