Gluten Free Garlic Parmesan Crackers

I ♥ Garlic and Parmesan!

garlic parmesan crackers CV

Easily the best food combination. Right up there with peanut butter and banana, and cereal and milk (serious try a PB and banana sandwich!). So it is naturally fitting that these garlic parmesan crackers would make it to my little cut of the internet!

Garlic and Parmesan is seriously a combination that just about anyone enjoys! From spaghetti, pizza, garlic bread with cheese on top and of course the ever popular chicken parmesan it is something that just makes us think of big amazing dinners that you leave feeling so super satisfied and so sleepy afterwards. I PROMISE  these garlic parmesan crackers will not do that to you, but they will make you think to grab some tomato soup and throw them in!

In fact these garlic parmesan crackers would be great in some soup! Chicken noodle, tomato or even a potato soup! Because who can knock these crackers? They are amazing!

YOu will either need to just trust me and come on down and try one, because it is so worth the travel time or you can make these crackers at home! They are really quite simple.

Gluten Free Garlic Parmesan CrackersGarlic Parmesan Crackers 2

8 oz of Parmesan cut into small cubes
2/3 cups Brown Rice Flour
6 Tbsp Tapioca Starch
1/2 tsp Xanthan Gum
6 Tbsp Soften Butter or about 4 Tbsp Soft Coconut oil (not melted but soft)
1 tsp Garlic (I used this:  Granulated Roasted Garlic )
Pinch of salt
3 Tbsp Milk (I used Almond milk)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Place your cubes of cheese into a food processor and let those process until they are fine . Then add in all of your ingredients except the milk. Process and slowly add the milk until it starts to form a dough. You may only need about 2 Tbsp of milk but depending on the cheese you could need need a little bit more. Parmesan tends to be quite dry. Pour your dough out onto parchment paper. This will be a dry dough and it will fall apart if you are not careful. Use a rolling pin and flatten out until the dough is roughly an 1/8 of an inch in thickness (about 1-2 mm). Use a pizza cutter and cut into 1 inch squares and take a toothpick and place a little hole in the middle of them all. Use a flat spatula to transfer to a pan covered in parchment paper. They will fall apart if you use your hands. Bake for 15 minutes and let cool completely on the pan. After completely cool place in a bag or air tight container to enjoy!

The spatula is so necessary as the parmesan is a dry cheese, so it can make the dough a little brittle. It will also make for transferring easier too. You can sprinkle a little bit of salt (instead of putting in dough), but I always put it into the dough. I always forget! However, with or without the salt they are amazing.

I love taking these garlic parmesan crackers as a snack on my way to see clients or going into a place to work. They make for a great snack in a lunchbox too for kids of any age, just ask my other half or my mom! The best part is that they are gluten free and so easy to make. Everyone will be asking you for the recipe or for you to make them some! I garlic Parmesan crackers 6know that the first time I made these garlic and parmesan crackers they were gone in a matter of minutes and I think I got a total of 2! Yes, 2! The next time I made sure I was the only one home when they were made so I could get my ample handful or two.

What is you favorite type of snack to have with you? Is it homemade?
